The Cowboys made a couple of roster moves on Wednesday by placing center Gennaro DiNapoli on injured reserve and signed running back Adrian Murrell.
DiNapoli severely sprained his right ankle in Sunday's 16-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and did not return. Matt Lehr continued in the game and will be the starting center.
Surgery may be required to repair the injury.
Murrell was signed by the Cowboys during training camp but was among the final cuts in August. However, with an anemic rushing offense, Murrell was brought back to help bolster the attack. He may play Sunday when the Cowboys host the Washington Redskins.
